QUICK BIO
- I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and grew up singing both in a boys choir and in the back of our station wagon with my sister.
- In the fall of my seventh year on this planet, I started taking piano lessons to impress a certain Canadian girl I had a crush on (at seven?).
- The summer before 7th grade I got an acoustic guitar and started listening to Radiohead - my sister got me out of sweat pants and I gelled my hair.
- My sophomore year I acquired a theremin and tried to get my friends to listen to the Boredoms.
- My senior year a friend and I got Steve Reich's autograph and were giddy like little schoolgirls.
- When I graduated, I spent all my graduation money on a banjo and went off to school for music.
- At Hope College I learned how to play jazz, fall in love with symphonies, and adore the music of the modernists and classicists.
- Then I moved to Eugene, Oregon
